Game Chat

The game chat function unlocks at character level 3 and can be accessed by pressing the chat icon in the lower left side of the battlefield. On the same server, players from all game platforms share the same game chat.
Chatrooms
On each server, there are 16 global chatrooms, each one dedicated to one of the game's languages. The default room is English. You can change your current chatroom by accessing the "Global Rooms" menu on top of the chat window. The number of currently playing players on all servers together is displayed in the top right corner of the chat window.
Once you have joined a guild, the guild chatroom tab can be accessed. Here you can exclusively talk to the players currently in your guild. Once you have joined a fellowship, the fellowship chatroom can be accessed, where you can exclusively talk to the players in your fellowship.
You can also send private messages to another player after you added the player to your friend list by clicking on the player's name and then on the friend icon. Your friend list is limited to 50 players.
When there are new messages in the global, guild, fellowship or private chatrooms, a red dot is shown on top of the chatroom select button.

Messaging
The maximum number of characters in a single message is 250 including spaces and emoticons. In the English room, only latin letters can be used, while in other language rooms special characters may be allowed. You can also chose from 15 emoticons, but the maximum number of emoticons you can use in single message is 5.

Above the text message, the player's flag, the player's name and the time the message was sent are displayed. Next to the message, also the player's avatar and the player's character level is shown. Chat moderators are marked with Mod: and game developers are marked with Dev: before their name. Moderators can globally mute a player who is breaking the chat rules for a limited amount of time.
You can individually mute a player by clicking on the player name and then pressing the "Mute" button in the player inspect window. If the player is on your friend list, you have to unfriend the player first. Messages of muted players are not shown to you. You can mute up to 50 players.
