Awakening
Awakening is a way to levelup your heroes by spending arcane crystals. You can see your current hero awakening information in the Hall of Heroes under the Awakening tab.
Awakening XP
You can awaken a hero for 500 arcane crystals. The awakened hero is randomly chosen, whereby heroes with a lower awakening level have a higher chance of being chosen. This way, new heroes will catch up faster to your older heroes (in a mechanism similar to Sacred Cards). The awakened hero will get a random amount of 70−130 awakening xp:
awakening xp = 70 + random(60)
New heroes start at awakening level 1. A hero will levelup once he or she has gained enough awakening xp. For the first levelup, 250 awakening xp are required. The cost to levelup increases by 25 awakening xp for each subsequent level:
levelup cost = 225 + current level × 25
Awakening Multiplier
As soon as one of your heroes reaches a certain awakening level or if you currently have a certain amount of arcane crystals in your inventory, you get the option of using a multiplier to speed up the awakening process. The multiplier increases both the arcane crystal cost and the awakening xp gain.

Awakening Effect
Awakened heroes will get a bonus which is called awakening effect. The awakening effect increases multiplicatively by 30% for each awakening level:
awakening effect = 1.3current level − 1
The awakening effect is twofold. The first effect increases all main attributes of the current hero. The second effect is a general bonus that is applied regardless of the hero being in your current party or not (similar to the guardian auras). The second effect is different for each hero and can be one of:
