Alchemist

You will unlock the Alchemist when you reach character level 120. The Alchemist can run experiments for random upgrades and transmute chests to higher rarities.

Experiments

The upgrades of the Alchemist are called experiments and are randomly decided. The chance to get a specific experiment is:

chance = (remaining experiments of that type) / (total remaining experiments)

You can run 3 experiments at once, each with a different resource:

• 50 dragon blood
• 40 strange dust
• 1250 exotic coins

All experiments can be individually sped up with gem speedup. There are 12 fixed experiments trees:

• Alchemist Experiments Tree 5
• Alchemist Experiments Tree 6

• Alchemist Experiments Tree 12

Afterwards, the following five trees repeat cyclically with experiment durations increasing by 1 hour per tree:

• Alchemist Experiments Tree A (trees 13, 18, 23, ...)
• Alchemist Experiments Tree B (trees 14, 19, 24, ...)
• Alchemist Experiments Tree C (trees 15, 20, 25, ...)
• Alchemist Experiments Tree D (trees 16, 21, 26, ...)
• Alchemist Experiments Tree E (trees 17, 22, 27, ...)

The highest alchemist experiments tree is currently 42. You have to fully complete a tree before you can start on the next one.

Transmutation

At character level 130 you unlock transmutation inside the Alchemist.

Gear Chests

Transmutation allows you to convert gear chests to a higher rarity with the help of dragon blood and strange dust.

Jewel Chests

If you have at least 70 campaign stars, you can also transmute jewel chests with the help of elixirs of life and strange dust.
