In the Arena of Kings, you can fight war machine battles against other players. Your battle rewards depend on the highest rank on the arena leaderboard you achieved during the last day. The Arena of Kings unlocks at character level 80 and is accessible from the Battles building.

Leaderboard
Each game server has a leaderboard of arena ranks. You can choose to fight one of 3 player opponents who have a higher rank than you. If you are near the top of the leaderboard, you can also fight lower ranked opponents. The selection is random, but you can reroll the selection every 5 seconds for free.
If you win a battle against a higher-ranked opponent, you will swap ranks with your opponent. If you lose the battle, your ranks won't change. If there is no winner after 20 rounds, the attacker will lose the battle. If you attack a lower-ranked opponent, your ranks won't change regardless if you win or lose. If you attack a player whose rank has changed in the meantime, the battle is cancelled.
Battle cards
When you start a battle, each opponent draws a random battle card. Battle cards will increase one attribute (damage, health or armor) for all war machines of that player during the fight. Battle cards can have the following rarities and associated bonuses:

Battles
Arena battles are similar to warfront battles and use the currently active squads of both players. Arena attributes are different from warfront attributes though according to the following formula:
mechanical fury bonus = 1.05(rarity levels of all machines) - 1
Battles you start are shown as recording after the result was determined by the game server. The attacked player will be informed of your attack with a notification on the battlefield. If the player clicks the notification within 30 seconds, a "live" recording of the battle is shown.
Battle log
You can review your last 10 battles as attacker or defender in the battle log. In addition to a replay of the battle, you can also view battle stats like damage dealt, damage received and healing dealt for each machine participating in the battle.
Rewards
Every day at your daily reset time you will receive a reward consisting of guild coins, expedition tokens, emblems of valor and blueprints via game mail. The amount of resources you obtain is based on the highest arena rank you achieved during the last day. You must have started at least 1 fight in that day to receive your reward.
