Story

In the heart of the dense Ebony Jungle, Anzo Bloodbane reigned as a brutal Troll Warlord, infamous for his insatiable hunger for both battle and the flesh of his rivals. Born into the aggressive Truskani tribe, Anzo's rise to power was marked by his relentless pursuit of dominance and a penchant for consuming the remains of those who dared oppose him. His reign was one of terror and brutality, and his clan lived in constant fear of his savage wrath.

Anzo's ferocity in battle and his twisted reputation as a cannibal struck terror into the hearts of the Truskani's enemies. His clan's raids left a trail of devastation, their victims devoured to satisfy Anzo's gruesome cravings. His thirst for power knew no bounds, and he ruled with an iron fist, leaving a legacy of bloodshed and fear in his wake.

As the shadow of the Undead loomed over Alandria, Anzo's unquenchable hunger for power led him into an unholy alliance. Seduced by the promises of eternal conquest and the chilling whispers of the Undead, he pledged his allegiance to the Undead king. His clan's ferocity and his own insidious appetite made him a prized asset in the Undead invasion, striking terror into the hearts of both the living and those who dared oppose the unholy invasion.

Anzo's transformation into a puppet of darkness only solidified his fearsome reputation. As a commander within the Undead, he orchestrated ruthless massacres and feasted upon the remains of his enemies, perpetuating his legacy of violence and horror. His deeds painted him as an irredeemable monster, driven by a lust for carnage that knew no bounds. Even his clan members were at times horrified by his action, but those who raised their voices usually ended up stricken down and eaten by the Warlord.

In his pursuit of dominance, he had consumed all those who dared oppose him, leaving him utterly alone - his few clan members left alive fled in fear. In this isolation, Anzo was confronted by the stark realization that no troll could truly exist without his kin. The clan was paramount for survival - and now he was alone.

Haunted by the memories of his clan members whose lives he had consumed, Anzo experienced a profound transformation. Overwhelmed by guilt, he abandoned his cannibalistic ways, essentially refusing flesh-eating altogether. Vegetarian reflecting troll was of no use to the Undead, and rejected by darkness, he embarked on a path of solitude and self-discovery, exiling himself from his tribe to live as a lone monk.

Anzo's transition from a monstrous carnivore to a reclusive vegetarian was not an easy one. As he meditated amidst the tranquil beauty of the wilderness, he sought to atone for his past by embracing a life of asceticism and compassion - but often failing, as he had no more purpose in his life.

Such purpose, however, came in the form of King’s centurion, whose regiment stumbled upon Anzo hideout in the woods. Staying their hands from slaying a meditating troll, they slowly approached him and established communication. Learning about Anzo’s history, the soldiers were both horrified and amazed. Old centurion knew better, though, and offered the ex-Warlord to join the regiment. Although he was no longer the fearsome paragon of darkness, his unique perspective as a former Undead commander seemed invaluable to the battles to come. Reluctantly, Anzo agreed, searching for acceptance and redemption if not by his kind then by any living creature.

Keeping to himself, and still refusing to touch meat, the reclusive vegetarian troll became a valuable asset in the King’s army. Silent but firm, he became a rock untouched by any wave the enemy could throw against his newfound allies, and in time human fear gave way to respect. Advance in ranks, however, was out of question because of his race and history, but due to his accolades as a frontline defender he was given a choice to join our heroes to prove his worth and redeem his past.
