Story

Within the bustling and volatile markets of Irongard, Cirilo carved a niche as a goblin who understood the true power of explosions in the realm of commerce. With an innate knack for creating devastatingly effective explosive devices, Cirilo gained fame as the go-to supplier for any enterprise in need of a fiery advantage. His workshop was a cacophony of clattering gears and fizzling fuses, where he crafted bombs that promised to blast competition into oblivion.

Born into a goblin society that worshiped gold, Cirilo's interest in explosive mayhem was stoked by the intoxicating allure of profit. As his reputation grew, his wild experiments caught the eye of potential clients, who were willing to pay exorbitant sums for his uniquely destructive creations. Establishing the "Boomfire Syndicate," Cirilo's stockpile of explosive armaments became renowned throughout Alandria.

In a world caught in the throes of endless conflict, Cirilo's talents didn't escape the attention of the Undead. Tempted by the promise of untold riches in the long forgotten treasure troves and power, he struck a contract to supply the Goblin forces serving the Undead with his coveted Unholy Grenades - devices that combined volatile engineering with sinister necromantic energy, capable of dealing both physical and unholy damage. Gold flowed like water, and Cirilo reveled in the prosperity.

His alliance with the Undead seemed like a ticket to unlimited wealth, but Cirilo found himself at a crossroads when the Undead general commissioned him with a score of warlocks in the creation of the Doomfire rocket. Cirilo was to provide the explosive warhead, and the rocket was to be fueled by the essence of hundreds of living beings, extracted by the warlocks. Their screams echoed in Cirilo’s pointy ears while he worked on a warhead, making him uneasy with each passing day.

Haunted by the specter of his choices he realized that his creations fueled a cycle of destruction so indiscriminate that it might consume his own life (which was the most coveted thing - with gold being a close second). The allure of riches began to pale in comparison to the weight of the lives of the living his explosives had cost. Despite his primary allegiance to profit, a growing conscience gnawed at him, urging him to reconsider his role in perpetuating the cycle of violence.

With a calculated explosion that shattered his last creation and essentially his contract with the Undead, Cirilo fled the Undead ranks and pivoted his engineering genius toward aiding the forces of good. Ultimate merc, he saw the potential for a new market - a market fueled by the promise of salvation and the currency of redemption, along with more stable gold coming along. His ingeniously devised traps and cunningly crafted explosive devices play a pivotal role in the defeat of the Undead threat.
