Black Panther, one of the beasts available in the game

Beasts are unique companions which give large permanent bonuses. They can be released at the Scarab's Game when you find all six sigils of prophecy in the Pharaoh's Vault. You obtain the beasts in a random order.

Upgrading

Each beast has a level and a rarity. The level of a beast can be increased with soul embers. The upgrade cost starts at 10 soul embers per level and increases by 1 soul ember every 10 levels. Each level upgrade increases all attributes of the beast, except for spirit, alchemy and librarian, multiplicatively by 10%. The maximum level of a beast is 110.

When a beast reaches a certain level, its rarity has to be increased with cobra keys before it can be leveled up further. Each rarity upgrade significantly increases the spirit gained from the beast. In addition, all attributes of the beast double, except for alchemy and librarian which increase additively by 0.15%. Beasts can have the following rarities:

All upgrades are multiplicative between different beasts and with other upgrades of the same type.
