Gear Chests
Gear chests are obtained by running various types of missions and from daily quests, weekly quests and daily rewards. They can also be bought with gems in the Gear Chest Shop and with emblems of courage in the Emblem Market. High value chests can also be bought with platform currency in Extreme Value Bundles and Special Offers. Chests contain gear for your heroes and inventory items. Once you have opened 5 chests, an auto chest opening option appears.
List of chests
There are various rarities of chests in the game. Higher rarity chests give more items, a higher chance on higher rarity gear and a guaranteed chance for seals of power.

Any gear item dropped from a gear chest has the following chances to be of a given tier:

New items
Any gear item dropped from a gear chest has a guaranteed chance of being new, that is not a duplicate:

Note that the 1 in x chance to get a new item doesn't mean that you get a new item every x item drops. It only means that you are guaranteed to get a new item in every batch of x items starting with the first item of the type you gained. Inventory items
Inventory items are drawn uniformly randomly from the list of 10 possible items with the condition that the same inventory item cannot drop twice from the same gear chest.
